Julia Fox, PhD, is Co-Founder and Vice President of Product Development for Imperative Care Vascular, formerly known as TRUVIC Medical. With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare – from academic research labs to start ups and Fortune 500 companies – Julia has focused on building strong collaborations that lead to the development and commercialization of innovative medical devices. She is passionate about building and leading strong teams, delivering results, and improving patient outcomes.
Prior to Imperative Care, Julia was the Senior Director of Corporate Collaborations for HeartFlow, a digital health company leveraging non-invasive medical imaging and deep learning algorithms to transform the way heart disease is diagnosed and treated. Julia has also developed new products, services, and strategic alliances in R&D, Marketing, and Business Development roles at Stanford University, Abbott Vascular, and Siemens Healthineers.
Julia earned her BS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University as well as MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Julia was named a Fulbright Scholar in the Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark.
