This presentation explores how the OR is evolving from a collection of individual technologies into a connected clinical workspace. OR integration provides the foundation by bringing together and orchestrating information within the room, while spatial computing with Apple Vision Pro offers a new way to connect with that information, moving beyond fixed monitors toward a personalized, spatial workspace where relevant content can be positioned around the clinician at the point of care. The discussion also extends connectivity beyond information to people. Collaboration platforms create the potential for bidirectional communication with expert colleagues outside the operating room, enabling remote consultation, education, and collaboration while the surgical team remains connected to the clinical environment. The result is a vision for surgery in which the operating room is no longer an isolated physical space, but part of a broader connected ecosystem, linking clinical information, spatial visualization, and distributed expertise to support decision-making and collaboration.
