Phil Halbert

In his role as Director of Engineering & Site Operations, Phil is responsible for all engineering activities at Ximedica’s San Francisco location. He leads the engineering team and serves as a tactical lead for multidisciplinary device development projects. He is an expert level user of CAD software with proven experience in technical leadership, concept generation, mechanism development and design for manufacturability. Phil’s work has resulted in over 20 US patent applications and multiple IDSA and MDEA awards. Phil has been working as a mechanical design engineer since the year 2000, with his early experience in developing consumer electronics at Foundation Design for clients such as Kodak, Palm, and Netgear. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1999.
