Dr. Pathak is responsible for improving the application of neuromodulation therapies as a Medical Science Manager in Abbott’s Neuromodulation business. She leads the efforts on novel digital solutions to expand the application of Neuromodulation therapies. In her time at Abbott, she has contributed to several high-impact products, including the award-winning Neurosphere™ Virtual Clinic, a first-of-its-kind connected care technology in the U.S. that allows people to communicate with their doctors, ensure proper settings and functionality, and receive new treatment settings remotely.
She is passionate about innovating with a purpose and holds several patents in the neuromodulation space aimed at improving healthcare inclusivity. Additionally, as a woman in STEM, Dr. Pathak emphasizes the importance of passion, strategy, and mentorship for young scientists. Prior to joining Abbott, Dr. Pathak received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from The Illinois Institute Of Technology and obtained her master’s degree from Cornell University.
Additionally, she received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neurosurgery at Columbia University. Both focused on the application of neuromodulation therapies for neurological and psychiatric disorders.
