Iman Jeddi is senior vice president and general manager of the da Vinci multiport platform at Intuitive. Since joining Intuitive in 2013, Dr. Jeddi has held multiple leadership roles in engineering, operations, and quality. Most recently she was general manager of the single-port platform, da Vinci SP, where she was responsible for establishing and executing a strategy for the business to ensure growth, profitability, and continued innovation. In her role as general manager of the multiport platform, she directly oversees the product development, process engineering, and product management functions and is responsible for business and clinical strategy, multi-year product development roadmap, manufacturability, cost, and business unit P&L.
Jeddi has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, including five years at Abbott Laboratories, where she held multiple engineering and operations roles. Her work at Abbott contributed to the first commercial release of the FDA-approved implantable continuous glucose monitoring sensor. In this role, she oversees both the Multiport and Single Port business units and is responsible for business and clinical strategy, product innovation, manufacturability, product cost, and business unit P&L. Since joining Intuitive in 2013, Dr. Jeddi has held multiple senior leadership positions spanning engineering, product quality, and operations.
Notably, she served as General Manager of the Single Port (SP) platform, and later led the Multiport platform—directing strategy, product development, process engineering, and product management. Dr. Jeddi has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, including five years at Abbott Laboratories, where she held various engineering and operations roles. Her work at Abbott contributed to the first commercial release of the company’s FDA-approved continuous glucose monitoring sensor.
She earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, an M.S. in Medical Engineering from the University of Washington, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
